Well July is always an interesting month. We make crackers for summer weddings and also customers choose their crackers for their weddings around the Christmas season. You think you will have everything ready to start making crackers for Christmas. Of course getting hold of components can slow you down - we have just received some new cracker boards which have been in the pipeline for months. They were difficult to find but have now arrived and look super. Then the problem was foil hats - foil has gone up in price like everything else so that was difficult but they have arrived too. Rubber bands and snaps have also arrived. We just have to cut the paper to size and the making can start in earnest!
The photographs of the crackers once made then get put onto the website. There are lots of new varieties to make with different fillings too. We spend a little time down the coast in late July and early August and on a wet day you can find us making crackers in our caravan awnings!
